Personal Care Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Assist with feeding and food preparation, ensuring dietary preferences and restrictions are followed.
- Provide support in getting to class and other campus locations, ensuring safe and timely arrival.
- Aid in toileting, including assisting with changing adult diapers in a hospital bed.
- Help with bathing and lifting in a handicap-accessible shower stall, prioritizing safety and comfort.
- Assist in brushing teeth and combing hair, ensuring personal grooming is maintained.
- Aid in dressing and putting on specific medical devices such as AFOs (ankle-foot orthoses) and wrist braces.
- Willingness to assist in cleaning and maintaining the individual's room and bathroom.
- Support in washing laundry and ensuring proper organization.
- Provide guidance and support in using various electronic devices such as computers and phones.
Requirements:

Qualifications:
- Prior experience in caregiving, personal assistance, or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of disabilities, and willingness to learn and adapt to individual needs.
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
